Art in lockdown.

Even though the increasingly challenging restrictions of a pandemic made it difficult to think straight or even work, most artists have used this time to explore their own tenacity. A series of popular-culture icons have emerged from or rather were restricted by the symbolic mask and represent the duality of a difficult situation. The lesson learnt was that sometimes restriction breeds creativity but it can also stifle it.
